We are excited to announce that this years Guest Speaker at the awards will be Col Michael Kingscote.
Here is a little more about Michael’s career and business –
“On completion of a full military career, during which he spent 10 years in UK Special Force, including command of a Regiment, Michael Kingscote founded Outposts Ltd in 1998. Since then the company has expanded to provide leadership training to over 8500 clients annually. It simultaneously mounts overseas expeditions.
Michael’s wide military experience encompasses the conventional and the unorthodox. Operationally he has been tested in highly pressurised and dangerous situations often having to apply unusual solutions to problems. Additionally he has led challenging expeditions in many parts of the world, particularly in the deserts and mountains of the Middle East and Africa.
In his early twenties, after three years’ service in Northern Ireland, he was seconded to the Sultan of Oman’s Armed Forces and fought in the Dhofar War, first as an Intelligence Officer and then as a Special Operations Officer with the Firquat and was decorated for gallantry.
His life has always been an active one and he fully appreciates the need in peoples’ lives to be able to work alone or to benefit from working as a team. His extraordinary military background and business experience have helped him develop the company he now runs.
When required by Her Majesty the Queen, he is also Adjutant and Clerk of the Cheque of The Queens Bodyguard of the Yeomen of the Guard”
With such an impressive background, we are sure Michael’s speech on the night will be incredibly interesting, entertaining and informative. We look forward to welcoming him to the awards evening in March.
